WORLDS OF WORK (WOW) CAREER EXPO

This event began in 2022 and is held annually each September.

Our signature event transforms two college campuses into interactive career exploration zones, where middle and high school students engage directly with 70+ regional employers. The Worlds of Work Expo is a regionally recognized immersive experience showcasing competitive careers in Montana to over 2000 students. Through hands-on demonstrations and meaningful interactions, WOW inspires the next generation to discover exciting career pathways right here in Montana.

Students can take courses relating to many of the careers at WOW while in high school through their school’s career technical education programs (CTE). CTE prepares these learners with the academic, technical, and real-world skills necessary for various career paths, introducing them to workplace competencies and making academic content accessible to students by providing hands-on context.

Existing employers in the region continue to have unfilled job openings due to a shortage of skilled workers. In addition, employers face additional shortages on a regular basis due to retirements and expanded industry. WOW creates awareness about exciting regional career options to students, while addressing future workforce needs in central Montana.
